After research facility worker Paul (Alex Karpovsky) has a drunken one-night stand with pretty co-worker Danielle (Jaime Ray Newman), he develops an obsession with her even though she makes it clear that his advances are no longer welcome.
Several months later when Danielle begins dating a new colleague, Paul slowly becomes unhinged and his delusions of making her a part of his life sets off a shocking and revealing chain of events.
This is a slow, creepy thriller that sets a good example of how sometimes less is more. Not a whole lot happens during the first half, but there’s always that looming feeling that some horrific event is right around the corner.
Although the plot isn’t very original (boy and girl hook up, girl ends it, guy gets obsessed), the buildup and the way the story unravels is quite absorbing.
The ending is rather bizarre and feels incomplete, but overall, this is a fairly entertaining suspense flick. Well worth checking out.
